Baking time! Oven mitts at the ready...

Okay so there are not many people who start baking at 20:30, but I don't live my life like many.
I decided to make Nigella Lawson's Autumnal Birthday Cake minus the pecans. The cake tasted really good I just wish I didn't put any icing on it as it wasn't very nice the next day.A substitute for the icing would be vanilla ice cream.

I highly recommend that you try this recipe. My adjustments for baking this cake would be cook for 48 minutes, only do one thick layer and of course don't waste time making the icing. Serve hot with ice cream or vanilla whipped cream.

This cake is basically heaven for sugar lovers. 

I'll try and make a less sugary cake next time.
