Birthday Daze

So two of my bestie have birthdays straight after one another, in this case it was Tuesday and Wednesday days of which don't exactly scream PARTY! Anyhow my bestie managed to plan not only her party dinner but also my friends pub night. Me being me I turned up a nice half an hour late for my friends dinner, which meant everyone was seated and no one had ordered. Not good when it is eight o'clock and there are ten hungry people all waiting on you to pick a meal! Anyway in the end it all went fine, and it was only when we left did I realise that the whole restaurant was decorated with balloons and sunflowers to match the her birthday cake. It was so cute. This is why little local places need to be supported they always go above and beyond! Will definitely go back there.

The next night was my other friends birthday and her idea of fun is getting so drunk you don't know where you are. Well I will let you know now that we did not reach this level of drunkenness. I did however manged to make myself look like a complete idiot, by failing to notice a friend of mine and completely walked passed him. Not cool. Oh well, we will both live on. Wednesday pub nights are now a no good, no good people go out on Wednesday they all wait for Friday and if they do go out it isn't to some scummy pub! As much as I love a cheap drink we did end up in the ONLY club in the area and we all instantly regretted it! All in all I much preferred the Tuesday dinner than the pub/club event on the Wednesday.

Oh and it's my brothers birthday today! Snaps for him...

Health

Today we are all gonna talk about weight. Are you happy with your size? Could you eat healthier? Do you want to be skinnier?


I don't want to be skinnier! I want to be HEALTHIER! And I am gonna get there by simply exercising and eating smaller healthier meals.


We all talk about weight, and if we don't talk about it we think it. And if you just said "I don't!" you just lied! It's not a bad thing to not like the way we look but if you want to change then prove it! Stop thinking, stop talking, do it. NOW! Not next week, not next month, now. Because you have now and now is all you need.


Don't put it off with; "it's summer" "but I'm still in school" "Quick microwave meals are easier for the kids" - That is not good enough! You should be eating healthier especially if you have kids. 


Health eating is a privilege remember that!

Top Internet Must Read. It's free

Hi people,
I know I'm telling you to read a load of books, but it's all I've been doing recently. I promise I will be more active next week.


If you haven't heard of Diamond Gothic or HelloGiggles, then where have you been in the blog world!
I may not have been writing in the blog world for very long but I have been reading blogs for about three years. And I found out about HelloGiggles about four months ago, and by looks I was a late reader, as it celebrated its first birthday two months ago. The blog site was started by Molly McAleer, Sophia Rossi & Zooey Deschanel.


Anyway back to Diamond Gothic. I will explain. It's a free online book written by three authors. It's free why the hell not read it, right??


I'm not gonna go into details about what it's about, but I find it rather gripping, they always leave you on a cliffhanger.


Try it and if you don't like it then at least I (possible) introduced you to a new blog site.


It's just an amazing site full of blogs, but the reason for mentioning is the book that is being posted on the website. The book is written by Bethany Joy, JC Coccoli & Abigail Spencer. Much love for all the people mentioned in this post.

Life Time - 30 in 10 part 3

30 things that need to be done by the time your 30 - (shorter way of putting it "30 in 10")


I know that it is incredible girly and mainstream for just about everyone who has been deprived of a childhood pet to want to get a pet, but I don't really care, I just want one and I know the exact breed, its just kind of impossible to find one. The breed is shih tzu maltese. Worlds cutest dog.



I know for a fact that they are a cross breed because I've seen one and he was the cutest dog in the world! In my humble opinion.


The only country I can find this dog in is the USA, which is really annoying, but fear not one day a doggy like this will belong to moi. Hopefully in about 2 - 3 years, when I live in a building that allows pets.

I have five words that nee to be said. "Ben Schott is a genius!" There I said it. Seriously these books are not only beautifully put together, but they are also full of knowledge and they are a pointless an as hilarious as a really bad dumb clown. If you want to know all the pointless histories of anything you need to get these books. They are called SCHOTT'S ORIGINAL MISCELLANY and SCHOTT'S FOOD & DRINK MISCELLANY. Both books are by Ben Schott. And I seriously recommend a nose through.Anyway happy reading and be back soon.

Baking time! Oven mitts at the ready...

Okay so there are not many people who start baking at 20:30, but I don't live my life like many.
I decided to make Nigella Lawson's Autumnal Birthday Cake minus the pecans. The cake tasted really good I just wish I didn't put any icing on it as it wasn't very nice the next day.A substitute for the icing would be vanilla ice cream.

I highly recommend that you try this recipe. My adjustments for baking this cake would be cook for 48 minutes, only do one thick layer and of course don't waste time making the icing. Serve hot with ice cream or vanilla whipped cream.

This cake is basically heaven for sugar lovers. 

I'll try and make a less sugary cake next time.

Monday Music

Yesterday I was talking to my friend on the cellular telephone, when she started humming / singing, to what she called the greatest song ever made in her life: "Hey there, Delilah" by Plain White T's. Now I know that some people say the music industy is not what it used to be but I don't think it is the greatest song to have come out since 1993. Have a listen and let me know if I am wrong. The song is addictive, but not the best song since 1993.

Life Time - 30 in 10 part 2

30 things that need to be done by the time your 30 - (shorter way of putting it "30 in 10")

2 of 30 is live abroad because as great as London is. I don't think I will ever appreciate it unless I live away for at least a year. An as I have no desire to live anywhere else in the UK I have some other ideas floating in my head, and of course there are the oblivious. NYC, San Fran, LA, Les Vegas, Miami all great places in the USA. Rome, Italy. Barcelona, Spain. Paris, Texas- jk, France (although I feel that Paris is just too close and I would use the euro tunnel all the time!!)  

There is also Portland, Maine, USA. Hawaii, USA. Sydney, Australia. Bali, Indonesia. Toronto, Canada. Dublin, Ireland. Munich, Germany. Osaka, Japan.

Although I am edging to somewhere that is English speaking.

There are so many great places to see in the world, sometimes I really wish I was musical I could tour around the world for a living. That would the best thing ever, however I sadly have no musical talents.

I pray to God that this will happen.
